Haleiwa Ukuleles

Haleiwa Ukuleles, founded in 2010 by master luthier Joe Green, blends craftsmanship, music, and surf culture. Originally from Florida, Joe moved to O‘ahu’s North Shore in 1977, where he met his wife, Naoko, and made Hale‘iwa their home.

With nearly 50 years of experience, Joe has built a reputation for creating exceptional instruments. His ukulele was featured in Jack Johnson’s song “Breakdown,” and his work has been used as trophies for the Reef Hawaiian Pro (2012–2014). Recognized for his contributions, he received the Kama‘āina of the Year award (2015) and the Ho‘onani Award (2008) for his support of the local community.

Haleiwa Ukuleles offers heirloom-quality instruments crafted from rare, reclaimed Hawaiian woods in Joe’s Hale‘iwa workshop. Whether you're a beginner or a pro, find the perfect ukulele and join our ‘ohana. Contact us today!
